All the products I sell, are prepared in a home kitchen not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department, as I work under the Texas Cottage Food Law. My house is a pet-free and smoke-free environment.
Allergies. All my products are made in a kitchen that handles eggs, nuts, chocolate, dairy, and wheat products. While I offer several gluten-friendly options, my kitchen is not gluten-free. Cross-contamination is a possibility, and I am currently unable to guarantee that any item can be completely free of allergens. Please consider this information CAREFULLY before ordering.
Payment Terms.My pricing structure is meticulously crafted taking into account factors such as size, detail, and the level of craftsmanship required for each item that I bake and decorate. This ensures fair and transparent pricing that accurately reflects the time and effort invested in creating a high-quality product. I am the only person running this business, and thus I am only able to take a very limited number of custom orders for any given week. Once I reach my availability I often have to decline other requests; in doing so, I ensure that every order gets the proper amount of attention devoted to it. I also spend time pricing out designs, ordering materials needed or researching techniques, and for these reasons, I am unable to refund deposits at any time. Dates are booked on a first-paid deposit basis. To ensure the reservation of your order and secure the date you require, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total order cost must be submitted within the timeframe specified on the Estimate or Invoice provided. Should an order be placed within 10 days of the event date, full payment is required upfront, and this payment is non-refundable. To book an order for a future date without set details (guest numbers, theme, colors, etc), the specific amount of the non-refundable deposit will be communicated during the booking process. I understand that circumstances may change, and therefore, the possibility of refunding this deposit will be discussed comprehensively at the time of booking, tailored to your unique needs and circumstances. My goal is to offer transparency and flexibility while maintaining the integrity of my booking process. This deposit will be applied as a credit towards the final payment once the estimate has been finalized. Contracts of orders over 3 months in advance will be reevaluated for inflation closer to the date of the event and the final price may be adjusted.
Changes. I accept changes in quantity or color specification up to 14 days preceding the date of the event unless unique ingredients or specialized material has been purchased to meet the order’s requirements. Should adjustments become necessary within a shorter timeframe, a 25% fee based on the total order cost will be applicable. Changes requested within one week of the event will be subject to availability, and while I will make every effort to adapt to last-minute changes, I cannot assure their feasibility.
Rescheduling. I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise and plans may need to change. Rescheduling requests will be accommodated based on my availability. In the event of a cancellation where rescheduling isn’t feasible, I may offer a credit for a future order, subject to availability and determined on a case-by-case basis. Rescheduling requests for dates falling within any Holiday season will not be accommodated.
Cancellations. In instances where an order is canceled within 12 hours of placement, a full refund of the deposit will be provided, with the exception of cases where the order was originally scheduled (and deposit paid) for an event occurring within 7 days of ordering. This policy is implemented due to the immediate commitment entailed, typically involving the procurement of ingredients or specialized materials shortly after receiving the deposit for the order. The potential for partial refunding of this deposit will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Refunds and Returns. Should you find yourself dissatisfied with your order, please inform me promptly and return the uneaten portion within 24 hours. Partial or full refunds will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In instances where a genuine error on my part is identified, such as a product not being prepared correctly, I will take immediate steps to rectify the situation. However, refunds will not be issued if an item was prepared accurately, but the flavor or texture did not align with personal preferences. While the majority of customers appreciate my flavors, individual taste preferences vary, making it challenging to anticipate every preference. If something has gone wrong, please let me know right away.
Pick up/Delivery. Pick up is in the Ranch at Brushy Creek neighborhood in Cedar Park, TX. Free Delivery within a 5-mile radius of my location is occasionally offered, subject to my availability. For deliveries beyond this radius, the distance will be calculated from my home to the venue using Google Maps to determine the shortest route. Delivery fees will be addressed and agreed upon during the consultation process. A minimum delivery fee of $20 applies. All of my products are carefully crafted and securely packaged to ensure stability during transportation. Clients assume responsibility for the safe transport of their products when picking them up, I do not accept liability for any incidents that may occur once the cakes, cupcakes, or cookies have been collected. Similarly, when delivering, I cannot be held responsible for any damage to my products after they have been handed over. Due to their substantial weight, cakes necessitate placement on a sturdy surface and the maintenance of an optimal room temperature ranging from 70-73˚F. Similarly, cookies require cool temperatures and should never be left unattended inside a vehicle for any time duration. Please note that I cannot assume responsibility for any damages or deterioration of my products resulting from unfavorable conditions, transportation, or storage once they have left my possession.
Photography. All my baked goods and creations are photographed prior to being handed out. I reserve the right to use any of these photographs for display or promotion without compensation to anyone.
Design and Printed Cookies. I value the significance of utilizing pictures and images from other bakers' creations to align with my clients' visions regarding design and color preferences. However, it is important to emphasize that while inspiration is drawn from these sources, I do not replicate or directly copy the work of others. Each of my products is imbued with my unique flair and creative touch, ensuring a distinct and personalized outcome for every client. While every effort is made to ensure accurate color matching during edible printing, it is important to note that achieving 100% accuracy is not always possible. Printed Cookies may exhibit slight color variations compared to what is seen on the computer screen, primarily due to the color-mixing process involved in printing. However, please be assured that I will strive to achieve a color as close to your desired shade as feasibly achievable.
